Watching: not yet priced

Searching for an API price that doesn’t exist is frustrating — this list is the receipt. “No per-token price found” means we looked for a per-token API rate — the maker’s own rate card and the hosted catalogs we read — and found none as of the date shown. “Sold only by third-party hosts” means something different and we label it separately rather than blurring the two: every seller we could find is a host setting its own rate, so any price you find for the model is that host’s and not the maker’s. What this list leaves out. 91 models have been ruled on and considered for this page; 47 of them are shown. Each of the rest is withheld for a stated reason, and we keep the reasons apart rather than merging them into one number — they are not the same claim. We withhold 24 for which a per-token price does demonstrably exist, where the row is held on something else (a missing maker rate card, an unresolved unit, a provenance question); 11 that aren’t a single vendor-sold model (routers, cloaked pre-release listings, open-weight repos, and $0 demo twins of a model listed elsewhere); 3 that we simply don’t cover, being below our size and prominence bar — we make no claim about whether they are sold per token; 2 where what we have is genuinely unknown rather than none, and “we couldn’t find a seller” is not the same statement as “there is no seller”; 1 the maker has since shut down; and 3 whose last check has aged past our 45-day re-verification budget. Nothing is withheld for want of a ruling. We publish this breakdown because “withhold the row” is our fix for most problems with this page, and a list that quietly shrinks would look identical to one that is right.

Every model below sat on this watch list until a real per-token rate appeared — then it moved to the live tracker. That is the whole point of watching.

Our inclusion rule is deliberately narrow: a model joins the tracker when someone publishes a qualifying per-token price for it — the maker on its own rate card, or a host on theirs — not when a benchmark score lands or weights drop on HuggingFace. A missing model is a statement about whether anyone sells it yet, never a verdict on its quality. Some releases never get a per-token rate at all; this page is where those live, with dated evidence that we keep checking.
