ModelPriceWatch ("we", "us", "our") operates modelpricewatch.com — a free LLM pricing comparison and benchmark platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
We are committed to minimal data collection. We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Newsletter Subscriptions
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:
- Email address — used to send the weekly pricing digest
- Name (optional) — used to personalize the email greeting
This data is processed by MailerLite, our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Subscriber data is stored in MailerLite's infrastructure in compliance with GDPR.
2.2 Contact Form Submissions
If you use our contact form, we collect:
- Name and email — so we can respond to you
- Subject and message — the content of your inquiry
Submissions are stored securely in Cloudflare KV storage. We retain contact submissions for 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
2.3 API Usage
If you use our API with an API key, we collect:
- API key identifier — used for authentication and rate limiting
- Request count — tracked daily for rate limit enforcement (reset at midnight UTC)
- Email associated with the key — for contact regarding the key
For free-tier API users (no key), we track requests per IP address for rate limiting only. IP addresses are not stored — only a daily counter.
2.4 Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site traffic. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising-tracking cookies. Any analytics we use will be:
- Cookie-free where possible (server-side or aggregated)
- Used only for understanding aggregate traffic patterns
- Never used to build individual user profiles
2.5 Referral Links
When you click a "Try on [Provider]" link, you are redirected through our Worker to the provider's signup page. We log the provider name and the referring page for internal analytics. We do not track you after you leave our site.
3. Cookies
Our site uses minimal cookies:
- Theme preference — stored in localStorage (not a cookie) to remember dark/light mode
- Cloudflare infrastructure cookies — Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance (e.g.,
__cf_bmfor bot management). These are required for the site to function and are not under our control.
We do not set advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide a way to opt out.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:

- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — request we limit processing of your data
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us with the subject "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.
6. Data Retention
- Newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe
- Contact form submissions — retained for 90 days, then auto-deleted
- API keys — retained until revoked or you request deletion
- Rate limit counters — retained for 25 hours, then auto-expire
- Pricing data — public data, retained indefinitely as historical archive
7. Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our site evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
