How this price is scoped: ScaleDown's own pricing table lists Summarize at $0.05 / 1M tokens for text input, $0.15 / 1M tokens for image input, and Output: Free. Its FAQ says it charges for input tokens only and absorbs the cost of the generation step on Summarize, so the $0 output here is the maker's published rate. We publish the text input rate. OpenRouter currently shows $0.04, which is ScaleDown's own endpoint there with a 20% discount applied.

Overview
ScaleDown's abstractive summarization model: it rewrites long text into a shorter, fluent summary in its own words rather than stitching together sentences from the source, with sampling fixed for faithfulness. A system message can set format, language, length or focus. Called as model "summarize" on an OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint. $0.05 per 1M text input tokens ($0.15 per 1M for image input), and output is free.
